For some of my friends who never seen my sketch books before digital work, here is the analog part of my current illustration.

It's not a teasing, it's a study I made...Actually my pictures are made of several pictures put together. I make them while I do my illustration, and them integrate each piece as you would do in a scrap book.
Every monday we try to make a new pattern that look like Chiyogami paper :)
Check here for more : Chiyogami Monday
Chiyogami appeared at the same moment as Edo Ukiyo-e woodblock engravings. It was created to make dolls, gift wrapping and other children and women crafting objects. Some very well know engravers and artists created Chiyogami. This adorable art survived until now, but most of the time the paper you'll find in shops are not woodblocks prints anymore. However, we can still study and enjoy Chiyogami Edo style.
I don't really know if was much used for Origami during the Edo period, but looks like it's all the fashion now! So here is a pattern I made, maybe you can find a nice origami fish to fold.
This pattern is a seamless, so you can repeat it and print it.
No commercial use, thanks.
Is the beginning of a French ditty sang by little girls mostly...It's a play on word, each end of a rime being the begining of the next one : "I'm fed up, up to the gill, gill of a fish, fisherman, mind your own business, nest box, box of chocolate, late at work..." that kind of thing. Another expression I play with in this illustration is "ras le bol", up to the (bowl) trim : "I'm fed up"...The chick should be replaced by bunnies, as Honey Bunny is a bit fed up those days.
This to tell you, I'm not fed up of my blog, not at all, but maybe I'll be less constant with it these days, for I'm exhausted and need a little rest. Take care :)
It took me a while to figure out how to do it:
Please click on the picture!

A digital painting from my Cheri Sylvain. He made it specially from a sketch and a photo. Usually he paints with acrylics, I'm so touched!
In France St Valentin is for sweethearts only. But happy Valentine to you too!
