vacation time

Del4yo_etsy

The Non dairy Diary is going to take some time off until September 4.

The French translation explains the degree of liberty I take when I translate from a foreign language to French language. At this point it's no more liberty, it's  running wild. Hum. I wish I was able to do it on reverse. Thinking about it I guess I do sometimes speak in a funny or even akward way but I'm not aware of it. Ouch.

I shall be back the fourth with some new stuff, see you in September!

Have a good time but remember
There is danger in the summer moon above
Will I see you in September
Or lose you to a summer love
(counting the days 'til I'll be with you)
(counting the hours and the minutes, too

(I was a fan of American Graffiti  when I was a teen)

Humblement. Huhu.

Lapin09c

I'm sorry to tell you this is the end of the wabbit series...I made some more but I keep them for a very special purpose! I had a lot of people asking for a desktop background with this bunny picture...I will think about it, but I need to know first:
What is the size of your desktop in pixels?

      __..   _...__....   _...___.   _....___.   _...___..   _..._
___\|/___\|/___\|/___\|/___\|/___\|/___\|/___\|/___\|/___\|/___\|/

Lapin_fleurs_005As any good bunny should, I know a kind bear or two. There's this one I really like who lives far far far away up North where all bears are white and bunnies have small ears .
Here in my beloved California they have really long ears. Coming from France where they have medium ears it's quite a change, believe me.

But let's stop talking about bunny ears( I could write a book about it).
The dear bear I know who lives (of bear necessities, of course) far far far away up North is named Moukmouk and he has the best blog a bear living far far far away up North ever wrote. It's called Pohenegamouk because Moukmouk is from Pohenegamouk, and you can look forever to find a better name for a bear blog, I say. Moukmouk is a French speaking bear, which says a lot about the white bears civilization.

Anyway.

Moukmouk sent me a picture :"A'toshka, can you see the  ukaliq  in this picture ?".
An ukaliq is the name of the jack rabbits far far far away up North and being a bunny myself (A'toshka is my name far far far away up North and it means the bunny who draws, I dare you to find a coolest name).

Anyway.
I looked at the picture very closely with the best attention and my very well known talent for details and I found 12 bunnies. Reading Moukmouk again after this wave of bunny enthusiasm, I learned that I was supposed to find two bunnies at most.
Dang:

I see bunnies everywhere!

Ukaliq_med

If you can't see the animation just click on the picture

This picture I took on Moukmouk's blog with his permission and I asked before doing ANYTHING and publishing it, because I respect copyrights, especially white bears copyrights just before the hunting season.

12 years old nephew

I have a 12 years nephew. What's fun with 12 years nephews is that they live in a completely different world. In their world a lot of stuffs are over the edge top of the tree cool you didn't know it could ever exist or be interesting at all. On the other hand they invent brand new jokes you found yourself brand new when you were 12, 25 years ago. It makes you feel a bit silly, and old too-of course.

My very own 12 years old nephew ( hi sweetheart) thinks he has invented the transparent icon. He copies part of his background in the icon. Then he positions the icon exactly in the right place on his desktop. It's cool, and brand new of course.Yup. Maybe a little bit time consuming. Unfortunately, my 12 years old nephew has a silly geeky auntie, and I think I can do better.

Macintosh_icons_2here we are.

You can download the one pixel icon here . The problem is my icon is really TRANSPARENT. If you don't click on the one red pixel (on mac OS X 10.4.10), it won't work. Lots of giggle time people, lots of giggle time indeed.

I deny any responsibility in any silly use you will make of this icon.

Let's get silly (I'm 8 and a half myself)

I enjoyed a lot the story Enidd ( Hi neighboor!) wrote when she was six. Since I'm height and a half myself and I can handle Photoshop a little bit but only when the Twain plug-in is not crashing the whole thing because I installed new Epson drivers, I did a picture about it.

(If your Photoshop is crashing because you installed new Epson drivers, just delete the d*mn plug-in and draw some owlets for fun.)

This is not a design blog

My house is a mess. I'm trying to get organized but it's just too difficult sometimes. So I carefully put up a few beautiful areas for my eyes to rest from clutter. One day there will be only beautiful things for the eye to enjoy. For the moment we are far from it.
I'm fond of cute objects and my idea of a home is "still life" everywhere. It has two purposes : it's cute to see and (almost) mess proof. Because it's already messy !

Lillois

A few days ago Miss Trop sent me a picture " I think you will like it!" (how kind of you miss Trop). Actually I love it so much I already own it. It's this print from Kozyndan. It's called "Uprising " and you can buy it here. It's been almost 3 years I love this picture and I think I will never get bored of it.  There is everything I like. There is hints of an Hokusai print so famous in France that it's part of our culture now ( Monet owned a print, lucky him). And there's bunnies of course!

Every year I change the picture's background. Today I picked some vintage Belgium wallpaper a dear friend sent me from Lille in France. It's like a cut and paste of an old ladie's room, I 'm fond of it. It goes perfectly with my fake flowers, my beloved toy dog from Yoshitomo Nara and this wood bag from Enid Collins of Texas I hunted for days on Ebay after discovering the artist while I was making research for this game characters.

Nothing was really expensive, and I love my display!

Sometimes I sew

Sleepsack02

My baby is quite strong and likes orange, pink and bold patterns.  Sleepsacks are very expensive...here we are, it took me a lot of time and it's just awful and I hate my sewing machine bad bad bad but I did it and Beebee Joli likes it a lot!
