Of copies and how to handle it.
I noticed in (French) bookstores stuff that were blatantly copied from my little houses. The graphist found funny to steal the 2007 model of my houses and put it under a copy of my 2011 book cover. She or he had to modify the models so they are a pain to mount ( mine are done so a kid can fold and glue them easily) and the patterns are ugly ones. I had emails from several people to ask me if these craft houses are mine : please check if you can find my name, Delphine Doreau , on the cover, before buying poor copies of my work!
I have two solutions : either I remove all the cool stuff from my website in a very paranoid spirit, or I reappropriate all my art and make it even better and show it off and share until they know it won't go unnoticed if they steal, while you my dear readers have all the fun.
What do you think I choose?
Hurray, free stuff! Please don't buy the copies. Please buy my book because it's ten time better from what I will ever post here. And please enjoy what I will post because it's ten time better than ugly copies!
I am working on new versions of my very cute Holiday houses and calendars for you to enjoy, I will be back soon!
